Welcome to Literacy Lab
Literacy Lab is the middle school reading classroom and you guessed it, it's all about reading. There are always a good supply of books on hand and I am happy to make recommendations.
In Literacy Lab we will work on moving your reading skills from the elementary level, which were fine when you were in elementary school to a higher more complex level needed to read longer more complicated novels and textbooks.
In Literacy Lab you will read learn reading strategies and tools to help you understand more complicated texts. We will read a lot and spend a good deal of time talking about books and your thinking when you read. There will be lots of time for you to make independent book choices and we spend a good amount of time reading online as well.
