Classes are all currently reading their end of the year novel in class.
Grade 6- Harris and Me by Gary Paulson: A young city boy spends a summer on his aunt and uncle's farm. He learns about hard work and play by sharing many funny and crazy experiences with his younger cousin Harris.
Grade 7- Won't Know Will I Get There by Walter Dean Myers: A boy and his gang, including his 13 year old with a criminal record foster brother, have to serve time for a graffiti incident. Instead of going to the juvinile detention center they spend a summer working with senior citizens in an old-age home where they learn lessons about working together and appreciating society's elders.
Grade 8- The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton: A herioc story about friends in a gang called The Greasers and lessons they learn about life and circustance.
Spelling Tests will be each Friday. This week Spelling List # 27. Students will have final projects and tests for this class the first week in June.
